As promised we have new information so read carefully as there are some minor changes. We have a block of rooms reserved here until December 28, 2007. But book now as it's possible we will exceed our "block." Also know that Buildings 1 and 4 will be available. Building 4 is the nicer of the two as it has been recently renovated. But Building 1 is closer to the lobby if you don't want to walk so much. Definitely request a waterfront view on a higher floor for full scenic effect (though these are based on availability and there are no guarantees). The Doubletree is the nicest hotel in the area and we received a good discount. Rooms will be $119/night. But you must use booking code "muller stone wedding" when making your reservation. This code works when calling central reservations at (800) 560-7753 or contacting the hotel directly at (510) 548-7920. The online reservations system does not take this code. Some guests have had some trouble booking with the code. If you have any problems booking with this code, please contact Christopher Caraballo at (510) 665-7140. He is the one to go to if you have any trouble booking your reservation or have any trouble during your stay at the hotel. This hotel uses naturally-scented products, in case that matters to anyone. If you are shabbat-observant, please note that this hotel is 2.33 miles from shul. This is walkable, but keep in mind that January weather in Berkeley can be chilly and rainy. If you need to be in the eruv or closer to shul, the other hotels are not as nice and possibly more expensive, alas. |
